CBF Entry Requirements
  Candidates should possess one of the following Qualifications.
  (a) Employees in Bank/Financial Institutions
  1. Any employee of a Bank / Financial Institution *** OR
  2.

A part qualification at the AIB Intermediate Examination OR

  3. Any other qualification listed from 4 to 8
 
  All Other Candidates
  4. G.C.E. (O/L) (Sri Lanka / London) Six (6) passes at one sitting with minimum 5C passes (Credits) including Credits for Mathematics and a Language – English / Sinhala / Tamil OR
  5. G.C.E. (A/L) (Sri Lanka / London) two (2) passes AND
G.C.E. (O/L) (Sri Lanka / London) six (6) passes with five (5) credits including credits for Mathematics * and a Language** OR
  6. G.C.E. (A/L) (Sri Lanka / London) having three (3) passes with two (2) credits AND having a credit for Mathematics * at the G.C.E (O/L) OR
  7. 7. G.C.E. (O/L) Six (6) passes with five (5) credits including Mathematics * and a Language** AND a pass in the Elementary Banking & Finance examination of IBSL OR
  8. Registered undergraduate at a University in Sri Lanka OR
  9. A University degree (any field) from a university recognized by the Sri Lanka University Grants Commission or a full professional qualification from a professional body acceptable to the IBSL.
 
Notes to CBF Entry Requirements  
    * G.C.E. (O/L) Mathematics Credit Pass
    Following subjects will be accepted as a substitutes for Mathematics (Credit Pass) at G.C.E. (O/L)
   
  • A Pass in Accounts/Physics / Business Studies / Statistics /Commerce or Finance at the G.C.E. A/L (Sri Lanka/Other)
  • A Credit pass in Commerce at G.C.E. (O/L)

  • **Language -Sinhala/Tamil/English
     
    **G.C.E. (O/L) English Credit Pass
    Candidates holding eligible entry requirements obtained in the English Medium will be exempted from the prescribed credit pass in English.
   
*** Financial Institution
For the purpose of this regulation a Financial Institution is any Institution engaged primarily in providing financial services

(a)II ENTRY REQUIRMENTS FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS

1.Two (02) passes at the G.C.E.(A/L) (Sri Lanka /London )and six passes at the G.C.E.(O/L) (Sri Lanka /London ) or any other equivalent with a credit for Mathematics

2.Three (03) passes at the G.C.E.(A /L) or equivalent and a credit in Mathematics at the G.C.E.(O/L)

3.Any other higher qualification

4.Any Employee working in a Financial Institution
