Examination Subjects

Certificate in Banking & Finance (CBF)

Existing CBF Examination is a stand-alone qualification. All six (06) subjects are compulsory.

5. Principles of Management and Organization
6. Marketing

Advanced Certificate in Banking and Finance (ACBF)

7.  Management and Organization (Advanced Management)

11. Monetary Theory, Practice & Financial Systems.


Diploma in Banking & Finance (DBF)

Existing DBF Examination consists of Five core subjects (compulsory) and one optional subject to be chosen from subjects 17 to 20.

TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS FOR CBF / ACBF / DBF EXAMINATIONS

The IBSL members who have sat for the CBF / ACBF / DBF examinations prior to September 2008 are required submit individual written requests to the Institute to transfer his/her examination records to the examination structure to be introduced in 2008.

Subject transfers from CBF / ACBF / DBF will be taken in to consideration when transferring the member candidates to the new examination structure of CBF and DBF.
