Examination Results of the professional programme
The examination results are released within twelve weeks after the final date of the examination through the IBSL website with the approval of the Governing Board. Academic Transcripts and original certificates are issued to members after each cycle of Examination upon releasing of results.
The examination results are not revealed to anybody by telephone, telegraph or fax.
The institute may withhold the release of results for the following reasons until issues are resolved:
Violation of examination rules and regulations
Candidate’s faliure to establish the idenity at the examination hall as per the due requirements.
Misconduct at the examination hall
Faliure to settle due financial obligations

Re-scrutiny of Answer Scripts
Requests for re-correction of Answer scripts are permitted after release of results at a service fee for the IABF/DABF Examinations. If any Candidate wishes for re –scrutiny of Answer Scripts may apply before the specific dead line announce by the IBSL.
However, re-scrutiny of Answer Scripts is not available under DBF and HDBF Examinations.
Policy on Examination Misconduct/Offences and Applicable Punishments of the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL)
All candidates are hereby informed to read and understand the below Policy on Examination Misconduct/Offences and Applicable Punishments, which is applicable to all examinations conducted by the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka (IBSL) in both physical and online modes.
Candidates are required to read and understand the below policy prior to sitting for any examination conducted by the IBSL and to strictly adhere to all examination rules and regulations issued by the IBSL with the admission documents, as well as the instructions given by Examination Supervisors and Invigilators at the examination hall.
Failure to comply with the prescribed rules and regulations will result in disciplinary action as per the approved policy.
APPLICABLE PUNISHMENTS
Where the candidate is found guilty, punishments will be imposed as follows:

Disorderly Conduct (Disorderly conduct of grave nature) |

Cheating and copying (Referring/ Use of unauthorized material, prohibited devices, removing confidential examination material from the Examination centre). |

Impersonation (Pretending to be another candidate or allowing another to sit the exam) |
a) Cancellation of results of that paper and (b) Suspension from IBSL examinations for a period of Two (02) years or more as recommended by the Disciplinary Committee and approved by the Governing Board. |

Repeat Offences (two or more instances of examination misconduct) |
(a) Cancellation of candidature for all subjects in the relevant examination and the results thereof shall be declared null and void. And (b) Suspension from IBSL examinations for a period of Three (03) years or more as recommended by the Disciplinary Committee and approved by the Governing Board. |

Additional Punishments (where deemed appropriate):
In addition to the primary disciplinary action imposed, the Governing Board may recommend Suspension or expulsion from IBSL membership as additional punishments, where deemed appropriate and justified by the severity of the offence.
