Key Responsibilities
- Formulating and implementing HR policies, procedures, and systems in line with institutional scope.
- Managing recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and succession planning processes.
- Overseeing staff development, training, and welfare programmes.
- Ensuring compliance with institutional rules & regulations labor laws, government circulars, and good governance practices.
- Supporting the Director General in organizational restructuring and institutional capacity-building initiatives in preparation for degree-awarding status.
- Supervising HR staff and providing leadership in modern HR practices, including digital HR systems.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree specialized in human resource management with a class from a recognized university
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Human Resource Management, including at least 2 years in a senior management position in a recognized public or private sector organization.
- Proven experience in policy formulation, HR strategy implementation, and people development initiatives.
- Experience in higher education or training institutions will be considered as an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in HR systems, policy development, and organizational planning will be added advantage.
Age Limit
- Preferably below 35 years as at the closing date of applications.
- Age limit may be relaxed in the case of exceptionally qualified candidates.
Added Advantages
- Full or Associate Membership of the Institute of Personnel Management (IPM) Sri Lanka or an equivalent recognized professional body in HRM will be an added qualification.
- A master’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or related discipline from a recognized university or institution will be considered an added advantage.
